OUR MISSION & VISION
Love of Literacy is a 501(c)(3) non-profit with a goal to inspire historically marginalized children to develop a love of literacy by providing hands-on early literacy resources and creating opportunities for the community.
Our Vision is to make Love of Literacy Foundation a space for children in grades K-2 to learn, grow, and develop a love for reading and writing while engaging in high quality instruction, aligned with the science of reading.
Additionally, we commit to providing authentic teaching experiences for current and aspiring diverse educators, helping to proactively confront arising issues in early literacy and prepare a strong black teacher force in the city of Detroit.
